'No offence, but I hope I don't see you again for a few years!' The things people say to you as a Celebrant...This was after he'd said that today was the best funeral he'd ever been to & that he thought I must have known his friend, as the service was such a personal one. A bit like the dentist, nobody wants to go to a funeral. But if you do, then hopefully you'll find a service full of stories of love & a few gentle giggles as we honour a life. That's why I always take time & care, listening to families & going the extra mile, as it always matters. And I don't mind if you tell me you hope you don't see me again for a few years!
